Learn to stand tall, see far; become the real you in your natural inner landscape

How Romani Folklore Therapy can help you

We are all travellers. Life is essentially about wandering landscapes, not just physical ones but other kinds within. In reality, we move through life entering numerous realms of emotional experience, which live within us as overall influences. These become our inner landscapes.

We sometimes pass into a landscape that can leave a mark, a shadow, a blemish, a darkness that lingers. Such a landscape can travel with us as it superimposes itself upon our physical lives, affecting much of what we do. We can then meet restrictions to dreams and ambitions, difficulties in relationships, and we sometimes just never feel quite 100%. But we have the power to transform a chaotic landscape into a calm, neutral one, an intense dark night into a moonlit night. We have the power to change things with some folkloric insight. And it is here in this place that we discover folkloric character within ourselves, which can help us understand ourselves so much more.

Developing a simple Parava consciousness (transformation), helps you to become aware of and fully enjoy your otherworld landscapes in a way you have never done before.

Romani Folklore Therapy can help the following

  • Anxiety, depression and difficulties caused by toxic relationships
  • Emotional & mental blockages, emptiness, difficulty finding a role in life
  • Narcissistic abuse
  • Psychic attack (this is literally any attack on your sense of wellbeing)
  • A runaway mind (racing thoughts) or sluggish mind (sense of lethargy)

All of the above can rob us of energy, motivation and quality of life. We all deserve a chance to get back on our feet and start feeling good about ourselves again.

Anxiety, depression and difficulties caused by toxic relationships - Toxic relationships are probably the Number One emotional killer of the spirit. Have you ever felt you're having a tug o'war with someone in your conversations and communications, whether a family member, a friend, a partner, work colleague, or even a whole group of people? Sometimes you feel constantly put down, constantly overpowered and overwhelmed. Toxic people go all out to exert point-scoring, and often deliver their venom unnoticeably, even quite kindly on occasion. We could label a toxic relationship 'vampirism'. It can cause much heartache, problems from anxiety and depression to guilt, shame and damaged behaviour. (See related video below).

Emotional & mental blockages, emptiness, difficulty finding a role in life - a 'blockage' cannot be seen or heard, but it is a debilitating feeling whenever it occurs, and prevents you from discovering what you can do with your life. You can feel so lousy but do not have the capacity to explain how you feel, mostly because people around you don't think it is anything to worry about! 'It will pass,' they say, but much of the time it doesn't. It lingers, and certainly doesn't feel temporary.

The most important thing to remember is not to overlook it, or pretend you're OK. Our energy can dip severely when we feel blocked, which can also lead to a kind of emptiness inside where we'll feel unable to fully relate to people and situations around us. We may also feel quite lonely, or alone in the world, and will not know what our role in life is. We constantly feel we are 'out of the picture', unable to satisfy ourselves, and nothing seems to make a difference no matter how much we try to motivate ourselves. There is a way out of this dark tunnel.

Narcissistic abuse - Narcissistic Personality Disorder, and narcissistic traits in individuals, constitute a serious problem in our world today. Narcissistic behaviour is a clear frontrunner in the list of psychological problems that can have devastating effects on victims throughout the western world. The condition affects many of us in major/minor ways, and strongly dominates top positions in western society. Created by the demands of a heavily self-centred modern world, it begins in the home within families. Narcissistic parents are a common phenomenon. The condition comes in two forms: the overt or extroverted kind, or the covert or introverted kind. While overt behaviour is more obvious, with loud bossiness and open desires to dominate, covert behaviour remains masked and often goes undetected when domination mostly takes place behind closed doors.

It is common for victims of narcissistic abuse to feel troubled when speaking openly about the trauma going on for them. Most people may believe that victims are merely engaged in finger-pointing and making up stories. But the crushing experience of devaluation is no joke for a victim.

This is a condition based on idealizing and trivializing victims. The victim may not always notice that she or he is slowly sinking into feelings of low self-esteem, trivialization, and dissociation when idealization once featured in the relationship.

All of which makes for a confusing experience. Consequently, a victim is likely to try harder and harder to please their partner, friend, family member or co-worker, because she or he will feel they are not doing enough to help the situation; they are likely to feel that they cannot do anything right.

Both males and females are affected by narcissistic traits. It is true that all of us exhibit narcissistic traits to a degree, which can be helpful when assertiveness or a need to take the lead is called for. But it isn't helpful if it spills over into self-centred dominance. A narcissistic relationship can therefore be a severely damaging experience when it lies at the heavier end of the narcissistic spectrum, and literally anyone can become a victim unless boundaries and rules for relationships are in place. Narcissists are invariably intelligent, insightful, polite and charming to most who are outside the narcissistic relationship, but they too have suffered trauma as children, and often don't have the courage to address their own problems.

Help is needed if you are suffering narcissistic abuse as it can be a most crushing and debilitating experience. If as a victim you would like personal one-to-one help, or if you wish to attend a discreet, friendly, informal workshop which can assist you to become more assertive and develop skills in managing/avoiding future manipulative relationships, please contact Patrick Jasper Lee now.

Psychic Attack (this is literally any attack on your sense of wellbeing) - It is a most uncomfortable feeling when you know something is getting at you except you can't say exactly what it is. Many people suffer from this today, especially sensitive people.

Psychic Attack isn't made up. It happens. It always did. In earlier times, people could feel they were under a curse or that someone had put a bad spell on them. It is about subtle influence and how some people are able to manipulate others with a strong influence — which is what spells and curses are all about.

When someone overpowers or overwhelms you, you might find yourself suffering panic attacks, feeling unduly afraid, with sudden fears and anxiety developing, as if someone is constantly looking over your shoulder. You are likely to feel up in the clouds, and may feel that the only way to combat the difficult feelings, or manage them, is to keep the door firmly closed and bolted on them — while the door itself is still up in the air! Grounding yourself may be difficult, because you'll feel that by coming down to the ground you are rendering yourself more vulnerable, so you may choose to remain up in the air, or above it all where you feel you're guaranteed safety. But this is no way to live and enjoy your life, as you cannot enjoy anything at all when such fear restricts you. It is time to change things, and live your life free from what others are trying to put upon you. Romani Folklore Therapy helps you access the sensitivity you are feeling so that you can turn it around, inside out, so to speak, making a stronger energy work for you instead of terrorizing you.

A runaway mind (racing thoughts) or sluggish mind (sense of lethargy) - these two conditions are not at all pleasant to experience. They are opposites sides of the same coin. The person with the runaway mind will envy the person who can choose to rest at will (so it will seem), while the person with the sluggish mind will envy the person who can get up and get things done at will (and that will seem easy too).

The runaway mind relates to the Sig personality, a bit of a superhero, which moves fast, is impulsive and as quick as an arrow in mind and body. The sluggish mind, on the other hand, relates to the Sutta personality, which moves slowly, takes its time, thinks things out before doing anything at all, and exerts patience in all situations.

While we all lean towards one or the other, Sig and Sutta personalities, when extreme, need attention. For some of us, it can end up becoming normal if you are accustomed to moving very fast, or accustomed to moving very slow, but when you are kept from sleeping because you have runaway thoughts, or when you keep procrastinating and get depressed because you never seem to complete tasks, something needs to be done.

Toxic Relationships - learn how to manage them

We are all affected by toxic relationships. Nine times out of ten we are bound to meet or befriend someone who finds it difficult to communicate without introducing a conflict that is clearly going on within themselves.

There are many ways to deal with these relationships when they occur. The first step is to notice that it is happening, so a deepening of your own sensitivity to the situation will clearly help.

Listen to the guidance and explanations Patrick Jasper Lee gives on this video. Help yourself manage these relationships in a structured way. Give yourself the opportunity not to take all the toxicity home to bed with you.
